Main Library
Michigan State University
The most recent of three projects at the Main Library, completed in 1995 by Ralph Calder & Associates prior to joining DMA, consists of 66,000 square feet of library renovations and additions. The design accomodates the Art and Music collections, audio/visual collections, computer labs, as well as conference areas and faculty study areas. The Main Library was recognized with a Design and Construction Showcase Award from the Construction Association of Michigan, as one of the finest examples of craftsmanship and design in the state of Michigan. DMA currently awaits a decision on a 50,000-sq.ft., 4 floor addition that will enlarge the Main Library to a total of 497,000 square feet.
