A master plan for the renovation of this 22,000 sq. ft. facility provided a strategy for completing upgrades of the existing facility over time, as funds are available. The first phase included the addition of a computer lab, meeting room, new custom designed computer furniture, Youth, Young Adult and Adult reference desks, and reorganized reference and youth departments.
A palette of bleached oak, stainless steel, green marble and accents of colored plastic laminate were used to bridge the gap between the existing 80s furniture and the Library's current high-tech capabilities. The new computer lab is a flexible cutting-edge room with a smart board and overhead LCD projector.
